Problem: Unknown Critical Error Due to Disabled Loopback Interface

Cause

When running a command line Linux* target analysis, the Intel® VTune™ Amplifier may display an error message: "Fatal error: Unknown critical error". One of possible reasons could be the disabled loopback interface.

Solution

Run the following command to enable the loopback interface: ipconfig lo up.
